Course Overview

UHCA-003 | Develop the Knowledge and Confidence to Support People Experiencing Mental Health Difficulties

Mental health support is about more than recognising a diagnosis. It is about recognising the person. How we communicate, observe, listen, maintain professional boundaries, recognise risk and escalate concerns can make an important difference to the safety and experience of someone receiving care.

The Unified Healthcare Mental Health Awareness & Practical Skills programme is designed for Mental Health Support Workers, Healthcare Assistants and other appropriate care staff who want to strengthen their understanding of mental health support.
